  • Chassignol is another beautiful expression of Paul-Henri Thillardon's Gamay. Concentrated, yet racy, with streaks of crunchy red fruit, minerals, and spices. The purity of the wine is impressive, and will definitely continue to gain depth as it improves over the next six years.

It's best to consider this in the more Burgundian-style of Gamay, rather than the natural, light style that Lapierre advocated for. A great representation of the terroir of Chénas. Wax sealed and unfiltered.

  • Paul-Henri Thillardon got his start at the young age of 10, when he started tinkering with wines in his parents' basement. When he took over the family estate he brought a touch of elegance to the family wines. These are superb examples of Beaujolais, and the fruit is managed so well.

He plows by horse and uses biodynamic methods in the vineyards. All his wines are unfiltered and unfined, showing a pure expression of Gamay.
