Cork Culture Rediscovers Italy
It's strange. For as long as we've loved wine, we've loved the majesty of Italian wine. But why have we never imported any in ourselves? That's a question which had no good answer. So logically, we've finally taken the small step and welcomed in three Italian estates: De Fermo from Abruzzo, Orsi San Vito from Bologna, and Masiero from Veneto.
You might have had Melon de Bourgogne from Muscadet before, but have you had it fermented in concrete eggs, or in Amphora? Jérôme Bretaudeau is a keen student and master at the same time, experimenting constantly and never settling for mediocrity. The results are extraordinarily precise and delicious - wines like few others in the region.
